Glory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men
Marguerite (Frances'
Mum) turned 80 this year. We celebrated with a small family lunch
Matilda had two major
falls off the balcony - about 10 feet onto the brick pavers below. She
is blind and didn't realize where she was as she shimmied underneath the
railings. We thought that it was the end both times but she quickly
recovered and, despite her blindness, is otherwise in reasonably good
health.
On the 9th of December
we were hit by a major hailstorm, which left us comparatively in good
shape although we did suffer several broken roof tiles and arch tiles,
broken windows, damaged Christmas lighting, a smashed windshield and
many broken tree branches. There are many, many houses around us that
seemed to get much worse damage than us.
Timothy spent a weekend
with his Uni mates at a camp for the Computing School of Engineering in
July. Both he and
Dominic have made some very elaborate costumes based on World of
Warcraft Characters.
Dominic was very lucky
at the end of last year as he had a good scratchy lottery win!
