Bruschetta

Description: You can use you favourite artisan style bread for Bruschetta. I usually use a sourdough, French baguette, or Italian Vienna

Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 1 French stick (or other hearty bread)
  • 1/4 Cup of Olive Oil
  • 1 clove of garlic – crushed
  • 3 medium firm tomatoes – diced
  • 1 or 2 sprigs of fresh basil
  • 1/2 onion – diced

Method

Method
  1. In a small bowl, combine 3 T vegetable oil and garlic
  2. In another bows combine diced tomato and onion
  3. Tear Basil leaves and add to vegetable mixture
  4. Slice French sticks into 10 Diagonal Slices
  5. Brown one side of the French stick slices under griller
  6. Brush with garlic oil
  7. Top with a Tablepoonful of vegetable mixture
  8. Optional: Drizzle with a bit of good quality Balsamic Vinegar
